How do I schedule an appointment?
New patients can visit the Appointments page on our website to request an appointment. After we verify your insurance and approve your request, you will receive an email and text message confirming the appointment. You will also receive a link to some intake and consent forms that need to be completed at least 2 business days before your first appointment.
Existing patients can log into the Patient Portal to schedule a new appointment, as well as cancel or reschedule an existing appointment.
How do I join the video call at my appointment time?
When you schedule an appointment, you will receive both an email and text message with the link for your video call. Click on that link at the time of the appointment to meet with your doctor or therapist. You will need a device with a camera, microphone, and speakers, along with a reliable network connection. Most patients use a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. If you join from a laptop, you do not need to download or install any software. If you join from a smartphone or tablet, you need to have the Zoom app installed on your device.
How do I pay my bill?
For your convenience, we securely keep a credit or debit card on file in our system to process payments for your visits. After your insurance company reviews your claim, we will email you an invoice for any remaining amount that your insurance says is the patient responsibility. You can click on the link in the email or log into the Patient Portal to pay your invoice. If you have not paid your invoice after 7 days, we will charge the card on file.
What types of medications can your psychiatrists prescribe?
Our psychiatrists can prescribe a full range of non-controlled psychiatric medications, including those used for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and other mental-health conditions. We do not prescribe controlled substances such as stimulants, benzodiazepines, or certain sedative medications.
What types of therapy do the providers offer?
Our doctors frequently practice supportive psychotherapy. This is a form of non-specific therapy that utilizes directed empathy, listening, and encouragement to relieve emotional distress and symptoms.
Our therapists are trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques, allowing them to select the best one to meet each patient’s individual needs. For a list of the modalities a specific therapist is trained in, please visit their profile on the Our Team page.
What if I need to reschedule my appointment?
If you need to reschedule your appointment, log into the patient portal and click on “Manage Appointments.” Please reschedule or cancel at least 2 days before your appointment, so we can offer your time slot to another patient waiting for care.
We understand that life happens and occasionally something unexpected may arise. In that case, please call or email as soon as possible. If you miss multiple appointments without providing at least 2 days notice, we may no longer be able to see you as a patient.
Why choose telehealth psychiatry?
Telehealth psychiatry allows you to visit your doctor from the comfort of your own home. Avoid dealing with traffic, taking extra time off work, arranging for child care, or other hassles associated with an office visit. Our doctors also tend to have appointments available earlier than other psychiatrists in the area, so you can get the help you need that much sooner!
